Enable File Uploads on the Submission Form

Enable File Uploads on the Submission Form

Allow customers to submit files with their tickets

The default configuration of KB Support following installation does not enable file uploads via the customer submission form and reply forms. To add a file upload field to your ticket submission form you need to enable file uploads within settings.

To enable file uploads, head to Tickets -> Settings and click on the Tickets tab. Then click on the Submission Settings link.

Within the Allow File Uploads option, enter the number of files that a customer may upload during a ticket submission or a reply. Any value greater than zero will enable file uploads.

Then, review the Allowed File Extensions setting option and ensure that only the file extensions you want to allow are entered within the text box.

When ready, click to Save Changes.

File Upload Settings

Now you need to add a file upload field to your submission form. Head over to Tickets -> Submission Forms and click to edit the form that you want to add the field to.

Add a new field to your form ensuring that you select the File Upload field type. For assistance with adding fields to your submission form, see the How to add Ticket Form Fields article.

Once the field has been added, KB Support will present the fields for customers to upload the number of files you selected when they are submitting a ticket.
