Global KB Article Settings

Configuring the default behaviour for KB Articles

These settings define the default behaviour for KB Articles published on your website.

Access KB Article settings via Tickets -> Settings and clicking on the KB Articles tab.

General KB Article Settings

Restrict KB Articles
Enabling this option will enable the Restrict Access option for all new KB Articles. You can adjust this option per KB Article

Show Register / Login Form?
Choose whether or not to display the login form and/or registration form to users who are not logged in and attempting to access a restricted KB Article

Hide Restricted KB Articles
Enable this option to hide restricted articles from the archives. For example when a user who is not logged in visits http://your-web-site.com/articles, any articles that are restricted will not be included

Restricted Ajax Search
Enabling this option renders the same result as Hide Restricted KB Articles but is applied to the search results that are presented to a customer during ticket submission

Number of Results from Ajax
Choose the number of KB Articles that are included within the search results presented to a customer during ticket submission

Search Excerpt Length
Choose the length of a KB Article excerpt that should be displayed within the search results presented to a customer during ticket submission

Restricted Content Notices

Single KB Article
Enter the content for the notice that will be displayed to users when they attempt to access a restricted KB Article
